Naturalisation Day 2023

Naturalisation Day is celebrated every year on 15 December. On this day, an extra festive naturalisation ceremony takes place at Dutch municipalities. The ceremony is the final requirement for acquiring Dutch nationality. During the ceremony, new Dutch citizens make the Declaration of Solidarity in which they promise to respect the freedoms and rights that come with Dutch citizenship and fulfil the obligations of citizenship.
