Nikki joined Everaert Immigration Lawyers in 2018 and is an expert in the field of immigration law. Nikki worked for several years as a paralegal at the District Coourt of Amsterdam, before she made her move to Everaert Immigration Lawyers. At the court she focused mainly on immigration law, but she also possesses a solid knowledge of administrative procedural law and administrative penalty law.

Nikki studied at the Vrije University in Amsterdam and McGill University in Montreal (Criminal Law and International and European Law). She is fluent in Dutch and English and sufficient in French and German.

Nikki teaches for the Training and Study Centre for the Judiciary on various topics of Immigration Law.

In her practice, Nikki assists private individuals, especially in the field of family migration, permanent residence, withdrawal of residence rights, public order issues and residence permits based on humanitarian grounds. Nikki also advises on employment-based immigration. She assists highly skilled migrants and self-employed persons, especially in the creative sector: artists, musicians, dancers, as well as companies that want to become a recognized sponsor to hire highly skilled migrants. She also assists employers who are fined for violations of the Aliens Employment Act.

Netherlands Bar registration

Nikki Vreede has registered the following principal legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Immigration law
  • Administrative law

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
