On 24 January 2020 Hans Jager said a festive farewell to his 39 year practice as an immigration attorney. At this occasion he received the St. Andrew's medal of the City of Amsterdam by vice-mayor Rutger Groot Wassink.

Hans has, during his long career as an attorney, besides the more 'regular' family reunification cases always had the interests of the most vulnerable migrants at heart - for instance those of HIV patients. Receiving this medal is in our eyes a well deserved acknowledgement of his compassion and efforts.

Our firm is dedicated to continuing Hans' practice. We are glad Hans will remain involved with Everaert Advocaten for the time being, albeit in the background as an adviser.

Many thanks to everyone who made the farewell party for Hans to such an unforgettable event.
