Willemijn joined Everaert Advocaten in January 2020. Prior to this, she interned at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague.
Willemijn holds a master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam. She completed her bachelor’s degree at VU University, and also studied at the University of Uppsala, in Sweden.
During her Master’s programme, Willemijn participated in the Amsterdam International Law Clinic (AILC), where she helped prepare a strategic litigation case to bring before the European Court of Human Rights. In addition to this, she followed extracurricular courses in international private law and Dutch family law. During her studies, Willemijn also acquired experience at a Dutch law firm.
Willemijn advises clients on family reunification, article 8 ECHR and matters of international private law, including international adoptions. She also assists highly skilled migrants and self-employed persons.
