Spouse of highly skilled migrant no longer subject to registration of marriage in GBA

As of 19 June 2011, the spouse of a highly skilled migrant who has applied for a regular residence permit for stay with his/her spouse/civil registered partner, no longer has to meet the condition that their marriage must be registered in the Municipal Person Records Database (GBA).

Therefore, it is no longer required to submit an M46 form to the IND. It is, however, still required to substantiate the marriage by submitting a marriage certificate to the IND. Moreover, the highly skilled migrant and his/her spouse must actually live together at the same address. (source: IND)
