Everaert Advocaten (an immigration law firm), established in 1982, started its practice as social lawyers for the immigrant population in Amsterdam. The firm is currently known both nationally and internationally as the immigration and naturalisation law specialists in the Netherlands. The offices of Everaert Advocaten are located in the centre of Amsterdam, near Dam Square.
Professional legal service requires understanding of cases and a strict personal approach. This golden rule of the legal profession is especially important in our specialty; there are no standard solutions because we don't have standard clients.
Everaert Immigration Lawyers is a training body recognized by the Dutch Bar Association. Our lawyers are on the editorial staff of, and contribute to, several trade journals on immigration law. Among other activities, our lawyers frequently give courses and speak at the Universities of Leiden and Amsterdam. Everaert Immigration lawyers play an advisory role in the drawing up of immigration related policies and legislation. We are partner of the Expatcenter Amsterdam.
In the current political climate, the rules for foreign nationals in the Netherlands are changing continually; as our society becomes more complex, so do the rules and limitations not only imposed upon foreign nationals, but on EU citizens as well. Everaert Advocaten follows all the new developments in politics, bureaucracy and the legal decisions that could be important to foreign nationals; thus combining experience with current knowledge.
There are 14 lawyers working at Everaert Advocaten: partners, senior associates and associates. They are further supported by a staff of 16 legal co-workers and administrative support. The primary languages in our office are Dutch and English; this goes for all of our correspondence as well. We can also communicate with our clients in German, French, Greek, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish and Mandarin.
